More About Heather
Heather is a seasoned attorney who focuses on the representation of general contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals in construction-related matters involving schedule delay impacts and time extensions, defective specifications, design changes, and payment disputes on both public and private projects. Heather has also been involved with a number of design-build projects for federal, state, and local entities and understands the unique legal challenges those projects face.
As former in-house counsel for a large heavy civil contractor, Heather is experienced in dealing with the day-to-day legal issues that can arise during large and small construction projects in California. She has worked on major projects involving bridges, dams, water treatment plants, schools, hospitals, high-end residential homes, and public infrastructure. Heather has represented clients in both state and federal courts, as well as during mediation and arbitration proceedings. She also has particular experience assisting clients with professional licensing issues in California.
Since 2019, Heather has been a member of the Women Construction Owners & Executives (WCOE) California Chapter nonprofit group that aims to bring inclusion and equity to women in the construction industry, and has also served as the treasurer of WCOE California since 2021.
