More About Hussain

One of the most pressing challenges facing California employers and managers is the risk of costly litigation. Hussain defends employers against lawsuits that could hurt their businesses, and helps them minimize the risk of future litigation.

From day one on any case, Hussain looks ahead to what an opponent will likely do next, and how he can defeat that move in a strategic way that will position his client for a victory at trial. He is especially experienced with single-plaintiff sexual harassment disputes, as well as discrimination based on disability, sexual orientation, and gender identity.

Before working at national management-side L&E firms, Hussain worked as a plaintiffs’ attorney in two of the most prominent civil rights firms in Los Angeles. He understands how the attorneys who work for these firms think and operate, and he is uniquely equipped to anticipate their strategies. He also has first-chair federal trial experience, having taken a case all the way through to a jury verdict. This trial was decided in favor of the client, and the damages awarded by the jury were 10 times the amount that the defense had asked the jury to award.

When working with Hussain, clients can expect clear and consistent communication. He understands that client engagement is critical in litigation, and he keeps clients engaged without burdening them with unnecessary information.
