Justin has represented banks, life insurance companies, and other financial institutions in structuring, negotiating, and documenting a variety of lending transactions, including development and construction loans, real estate secured term and acquisition loans, and syndicated loan facilities across all asset classes—with a particular focus in the hospitality industry.
He has handled a wide variety of real estate transactions, including representing joint ventures, private equity firms, developers, and lenders in connection with the purchase and sale of commercial property across all asset classes. Justin also represents both landlords and tenants, including several national big-box retailers, in commercial leasing matters.
Prior to attending law school, Justin served as director of the Small Business Improvement Fund, a nonprofit grant fund dedicated to renewing blighted urban areas around Chicago through investment in small businesses and startups. He was awarded the Arthur Goodman Award, a national award given annually for outstanding achievements in the area of nonprofit economic development.
