Kimberly has more than 30 years of experience advising sophisticated clients in highly regulated, fast-paced environments. She brings deep experience across investment management, real assets, and corporate governance, with a particular focus on real estate, timber, agriculture, and nature-based solutions.
Over the course of her career, Kimberly has practiced in multinational law firms and spent two decades in senior in house legal roles at Nuveen Natural Capital, GreenWood Resources, and TIAA, where she partnered closely with executive leadership, boards, investors, and global business teams. Her practice spans securities regulation, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, ESG management and measurement, compliance, litigation and risk management, and strategic planning, with a consistent emphasis on delivering practical, business oriented legal advice aligned with organizational mission and values.
Kimberly has advised on some of the industry’s most complex and high value transactions, including the formation of a $1 billion global open end fund and a nature based solutions fund, as well as the ongoing management of investment vehicles with more than $12 billion in aggregate value. Her experience includes supporting the acquisition of the world’s leading global farmland investment platform, leading legal support for a multiphase $414 million acquisition of a UK based real estate business, and driving a $6 billion acquisition that expanded global distribution and resulted in $884 billion in combined assets under management. She has also led global compliance initiatives, including overseeing registration and regulatory requirements across 10 foreign jurisdictions and documenting arm’s length relationships for complex, regulated investment structures.
