Drawing on his litigation experience, Lance advises employers with a clear understanding of how workplace decisions are questioned, tested, and judged in court.

More About Lance

When documentation is unclear and decisions are made on the fly, employers are left vulnerable when disputes escalate. In single‑plaintiff litigation, everyday performance or conduct issues often lack the structure that courts expect. Lance helps employers close those gaps by organizing the facts into a clear, credible narrative grounded in records, policies, and comparator evidence—framed for how decision‑makers will evaluate the case. That clarity early on drives smarter risk assessment and stronger negotiating leverage.

Lance has worked with clients of all shapes and sizes, from small startups to large Fortune 500 companies. He has extensive experience in single-plaintiff litigation, class action and PAGA matters, internal investigations, and advice and counsel work. Lance has worked with numerous Bay Area technology companies with unique approaches to performance management, policy considerations, and compensation packages.

Clients can expect clarity, candor, and momentum when working with Lance. He anticipates questions, explains trade-offs before they arise, and tailors strategy to consider how a matter will actually be decided, whether in litigation, mediation, or through an internal investigation. Each client has a unique set of preferences, risk tolerances, and extraneous considerations. Lance’s approach is to get to know the business and client contacts, tailoring each individual client’s litigation path.

Additionally, Lance volunteers through the Justice & Diversity Center in the San Francisco Bar Association and also volunteers for the San Francisco International Film Festival.
