In law school, Laurel served as an articles editor for the St. John’s Law Review and Journal of Catholic Legal Studies, reviewing and preparing student-authored articles for publication. Her role as articles editor sharpened her legal writing skills and provided in-depth knowledge of corporate law issues. Additionally, Laurel authored her own article entitled “From Sidewalks, Streets, and Parks to Social Media: How should courts apply the public forum doctrine in the digital age?” that was published in the St. John’s Law Review 97.2.
