He represents borrowers in mortgage and mezzanine financings, as well as clients in large-scale acquisitions and dispositions. His experience includes advising on transactions involving substantial multi-asset portfolios and financings across multiple jurisdictions, with aggregate deal values in the billions.

Matt previously served as co-chair of the Finance Subsection of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Real Property Section. In this role, he developed and moderated educational programming on real estate finance topics and contributed to discussions for the Section’s executive committee, supporting professional development for real estate practitioners.
While earning his JD, Matt was active in the UCLA Real Estate Law Clinic, the UCLA Real Estate Law Association, and the UCLA Tax & Estate Planning Law Association, where he served as a board member. He also served as a judicial extern to Chief Judge William Smith of the US District Court for the District of Rhode Island and as a law clerk with the Public Finance Section of the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office.
