Penny draws on more than 20 years of experience in workplace health and safety law to help her clients manage the legal risks to their business.

In difficult circumstances, Penny can be relied on to provide strategic insights and make a judgement call. She has extensive experience defending prosecutions across a broad range of industries as well as advising and representing clients on questions of law in the Victorian Supreme Court, Court of Appeal and High Court of Australia.

She is a strategic thinker, advising safety professionals not only on their legal obligations, but on industry best practice and risk mitigation strategies to ensure her clients meet their commercial objectives.

Penny is recognised as a leader in her field, having been ranked as a preeminent Workplace Health & Safety Lawyer by Doyle’s Guide every year since 2017. She has also been listed in Best Lawyers in Australia every year since 2012 for Occupational Health & Safety law and was named Lawyer of the Year for Occupational Health and Safety in Melbourne, in 2012-2013, and 2019.
