Employers need strategic legal advice in order to plan for the full range of immigration benefits, including temporary and permanent work visas before various government agencies, such as the US Citizenship and Immigration Services, the US Department of State, the US Department of Labor, and the US Customs and Border Protection. Valerie leverages Seyfarth's unique suite of technology tools to anticipate client needs and develop creative legal solutions for them.

When assisting clients, Valerie and her team adapt quickly and consistently ensure high-quality legal service. She has represented small businesses and multinational corporations in many different industries, including pharmaceutical, information technology, energy, financial, manufacturing, semiconductor, mechanical, civil, and construction engineering.

Valerie draws on several years of immigration law experience, both working as an immigration attorney practicing all aspects of US immigration law, and volunteering with nonprofit organizations advocating for the DACA and refugee populations. She has prepared a number of nonimmigrant petitions in various visa categories. In addition, she has considerable experience filing employment-based permanent residency petitions, and is particularly well-versed in the US Department of Labor's PERM program. Valerie’s diverse legal background has provided her with excellent cross-cultural communication skills and a deeper understanding of the challenges her clients face in immigration.
