William has experience structuring a variety of private investment vehicles and bespoke joint venture investment structures. He regularly works with real estate managers, private equity sponsors, family offices, and other investors on all aspects of the formation, negotiation, and administration of private investment vehicles. He focuses a portion of this practice advising on tax-advantaged deal structures, including real estate investment trusts (REITs), investment partnerships, qualified small business stock (QSBS), and qualified opportunity funds under opportunity zone legislation.
William also centers a portion of his practice on federal securities law compliance for investment professionals, including SEC and FINRA rules under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, exemptions under the Investment Company Act of 1940, and compliance with the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.

Griffin on the Delaware Court of Chancery, he leverages his experience to provide greater insight into the governance and administration of alternative business entities.
