On Thursday, November 29, 2018, at 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Eastern, Philippe Weiss—President, Seyfarth Shaw at Work / WorkRight Solutions—is presenting a Defense Industry Initiative (DII) webinar. The “Latest Trends in Harassment Preventions and Responses for Government Contractors” is focused on looking toward a new phase of the #MeToo era, with messages, tools, strategies, and training tips for preventing sexual harassment and creating an organization-wide culture of respect and inclusion. The #MeToo movement continues to keep the topic of workplace sexual harassment top of mind for federal contractors and other organizations, with companies increasingly asking:

  • What are the reputational, legal, and business impacts on market leaders, as well as federal contractors, today?
  • What are the longer-term best practices, including communication and training efforts, that will legitimately provide a respectful workplace environment and help eliminate sexual harassment in the workplace?
  • Do our managers and executives really have the necessary skills to support and ensure a harassment-free workplace? How can we build a culture of accountability and empowerment that serves all employees?
  • What are the respective and linked roles of Ethics & Compliance and Human Resources in this critical area?

The Defense Industry Initiative is a nonpartisan and non-profit organization comprised of representatives from nearly 80 companies, primarily from the aerospace and defense industry, that perform United States government contracting. DII’s mission is the continued promotion and advancement of a culture of ethical conduct in every company that provides products and services through government contracting.
