Karen Bitar Presented at the Plenary Session of the 2019 ABA Section of Litigation Division CLE Conference

Karen Bitar presented at the plenary session of the 2019 ABA Section of Litigation Division CLE Conference on May 3, 2019, held in NY.  After an opening by the Plaintiffs’ lawyer, Karen demonstrated a mock opening statement in which she defended her clients, a financial advisor and an investment bank against claims of breach of fiduciary duty brought by the purchaser of a $100 million variable life insurance policy that lapsed.  Thereafter the panelists openings were critiqued by a Federal Judge, a Texas Supreme Court Judge, a Jury Consultant, and the Jury (the audience).
