With the 2020-2021 California Legislative Session having come to a close, and the last bills awaiting the Governor’s approval or veto, employers doing business in California now face a number of new laws with which they immediately—or as of January 1, 2022—will need to comply.
As the Governor’s deadline to sign bills is October 10, 2021, we will be providing the final results during this webinar.
Join Seyfarth California Workplace Solutions and Legislative Team partners for a review of these new laws that will impact employers doing business in California. We will provide practical suggestions to ensure your business is prepared for 2022. We will also provide a summary of which potential legislation did not make the cut, but may return in future legislative sessions, and a bonus update on key regulatory updates.
Topics will include:
- Update on COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave
- Garment Contractor Manufacturer Liability
- Warehouse Distribution Center Quota Notification Requirements
- New Settlement Agreement Requirements
- Wage Theft as Grand Theft
- And More...
