About the Program

Join us for a program that will explore recent equal pay initiatives across the country. From salary history bans to more recent attempts to regulate pay transparency and disclosure, to tinkering with the machinery of equal pay litigation itself, the “laboratories of democracy” have been hard at work. We will examine recent legislative and litigation trends, including new proposed legislation in the U.S. House of Representatives. The topics will include current and anticipated pay disclosure/transparency laws, recent tweaks to the burdens of proof and affirmative defenses affecting equal pay litigation, and compliance best practices for multi-state employers. Seyfarth attorneys will moderate a panel featuring in-house counsel so these changes can be considered from several different perspectives and vantage points.
