Adam Lasky Selected as Law360 Government Contracts MVP for High-Stakes Bid Protests
Adam Lasky, co-chair of Seyfarth’s Government Contracts group, was chosen as one of only five Government Contracts MVPs for 2025 by Law360. The award honors attorneys who have distinguished themselves from their peers over the past year through high-stakes litigation, record-breaking deals, and complex global matters. This recognition builds on Seyfarth’s continued excellence in the government contracts space. Our Government Contracts group was named Law360 Practice Group of the Year in both 2023 and 2024.
Lasky was profiled by Law360, highlighting his wins over the past year, including serving as lead counsel for defense contractor V2X Inc. in a trio of bid protests sustained by the U.S. Government Accountability Office. His work overturned $280 million in U.S. Army task orders in Kuwait, Japan and South Korea, and South Carolina for pre-positioning of military equipment in the U.S. and abroad. Law360 noted that in the past year alone he served as lead counsel in bid protests involving more than $130 billion in federal contracts.
Law360 also recognized Lasky for his work on another successful bid protest that resulted in the discovery of procurement integrity act violations, and led to criminal prosecutions and federal prison sentences for multiple Army and awardee personnel who were involved in the procurement. "I'm really proud that we were able to accomplish something that shows that bid protests do improve the procurement process and do enhance transparency and all the stuff the government says it is trying to get rid of," Lasky said.
He has long been known as go-to counsel nationwide on a wide variety of government contracting issues, with a focus on bid protests, SBA regulatory compliance/disputes, joint venture and teaming agreement transactions, and Service Contract Act compliance/disputes.
Lasky credits his success to his appreciation of the field’s complexity and the creativity it demands of its attorneys. "I'm really proud of our team," Lasky said. "You cannot sit still in this practice."
