Amy Hoang to Present at ABA Public Contract Law Committee Showcase
On Tuesday, May 16, 2023, Seyfarth attorney, Amy Hoang, will participate in a panel discussion at the ABA 2023 Public Contract Law Committee Showcase. The panel is being presented by members of the ABA Bid Protest Committee on the topic of "Pending Proposals - Where Protests and M&A Collide." Joining Amy on this panel will be Erin Estevez of Holland & Knight, William King of QinetiQ and Erika Whelan Retta, Chief of Bid Protests for the US Air Force. Kayleigh Scalzo of Covington & Burling will moderate the panel.
Corporate transactions are a regular part of doing business. However, a merger, sale, or acquisition can affect a firm’s prospect for award under any pending proposals and can make the award a target for a bid protest. A contractor can often avoid the pitfalls associated with a pending proposal if proactive steps are taken. The esteemed panelist will discuss GAO and COFC decisions involving pending proposals, as well as best practices to avoid a successful protest, from a variety of perspectives.
