"A Disconnect in Law Over Reimbursable Expenses"
Boston attorney Barry Miller was quoted in a Boston Globe article discussing whether a company is allowed to require employees to use their personal cell phones for work but not offer any reimbursement options. Barry explained that "the reimbursement of business expenses incurred by employees varies from state-to-state." He added that most states either have no laws requiring reimbursement of business expenses or have limited legislation. "Massachusetts has no law requiring that employers reimburse employees for business expenses,'' he said.
