Brian Ashe Quoted in California Lawyer
“Employment Roundtable”

Brian Ashe was quoted in the April 2010 California Lawyer article, "Employment Roundtable" The article outlined a recent panel on employment law issues, which was moderated by California Lawyer, and primarily focused on the Association of Corporate Counsel's Value Challenge. According to the article, the Value Challenge, launched in 2008, seeks to promote collaboration between in-house and outside counsel in order to reconnect value with the cost of legal services. The panel also discussed several major high-profile employment law cases and whether we were seeing more discrimination class actions under the Obama administration.

When asked about how the ACC Value Challenge was going, Brian, who served as one of the panelists, responded: "The idea that the Value Challenge is a reaction to the economy is wrong. The key is ongoing communication and the idea of transparent partnership between the inside counsel and the law firm. For the initiative to succeed, that communication should relate to listening to how the client defines value so the law firm's and the client's goals are aligned from the get-go."
