Camille Olson Discusses DEI as a Legal Matter in Editor & Publisher

Editor & Publisher quoted Camille Olson in its article, “From PBS cuts to leadership pipelines, experts weigh in on how DEI can survive and evolve in today’s volatile media and legal landscape,” on August 1. Olson discussed how the Trump Administration is targeting “illegal DEI” practices.

“DEI initiatives that are not fine would be the ones that give preference to somebody because of their status in a protected group…So, segregation, preference or a detriment that an individual is subject to because of their protected status is illegal DEI.”
