Camille Olson Discusses Impact of EEOC’s Pregnant Workers Fairness Act on Employers in Law360 Employment Authority

Law360 Employment Authority quoted Camille Olson in its article, “What To Watch Now That EEOC Pregnant Worker Rule Is Final,” on April 16. Olson discussed the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) which requires employers to consider reasonable workplace adjustments for workers who are pregnant or have a condition related to pregnancy or childbirth.

“The PWFA built bipartisan momentum in Congress over many years, and had support from business groups…but the EEOC's expansive interpretation of what the law covers wasn't tethered to the text of the statute.”
