"Pay Bias Claims Seen on Rise"

Camille Olson was quoted in the February 9, 2009 issue of the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin in the article, "Pay Bias Claims Seen on Rise." The article discussed how the signing of the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act is expected to cause an increase in wage discrimination claims. Camille noted, ''I think we will see many, many more lawsuits filed with pay discrimination claims, which will [benefit the plaintiffs by] extending the period of time in which the information is relevant to the lawsuit.'' She further noted that due to the extension of the statute of limitations, “It's going to be much more difficult to defend those pay claims.”
