David Kadue Fact Sheet Published by Bureau of National Affairs
A new publication, "Preventing Sexual Harassment and Other Workplace Harassment: A Fact Sheet for Employees, 2006 Edition," prepared by David Kadue, and available through the BNA, provides "explanations of federal standards governing workplace harassment are featured in a new fact sheet published by BNA Books. The fact sheet covers issues related to sexual harassment as well as other areas of illegal harassment--such as age, race, disability, national origin, and religion." The publication "answers common questions that might otherwise go unaddressed, including: what constitutes sexual harassment by supervisors and co-workers; what other types of workplace harassment are prohibited by law; what constitutes a hostile environment; and what employees should do if they think they have been harassed. Court rulings that outline the boundaries of harassment also are discussed. In addition, the fact sheet advises employees on how to avoid behavior that could be construed as harassment, how to avoid sending "mixed signals" to an alleged harasser, and how to cooperate in a workplace harassment investigation."
