“Record Participation, Fundraising Marks Sixth Annual Relay For Life”

David Rowland was quoted in the May 18, 2009 issue of The Daily Northwestern article, “Record Participation, Fundraising Marks Sixth Annual Relay For Life.” The article discussed Northwestern's sixth annual Relay For Life, which had approximately 750 participants in its 12-hour relay and raised over $100,000 for the American Cancer Society. Seyfarth Shaw’s team raised the most money with $35,000 in donations. David, Chicago office Managing Partner, who is a cancer survivor and relay participant, noted, “The team had about 100 people ‘tag-teaming’ the event throughout the night. It's something that we started doing as a firm five years ago. This is my fifth year of surviving and my fourth year of walking, because I wasn't able to walk the first year.” According to the article, donations can still be made through August 31, 2009.
