Dawn Lurie Discusses ICE's Rise in Undocumented Employment Investigations in The Washington Post and Bloomberg Law

Dawn Lurie was a prime source of comment in leading media regarding the rise in investigations into the suspected employment of undocumented immigrants. Lurie was quoted in both The Washington Post and Bloomberg Law about how the Trump administration has intensified efforts to ramp up investigations of companies suspected of hiring undocumented immigrants and directing officials to meet audit quotas in order to accelerate deportation efforts.

Lurie told The Washington Post: “Notices of inspection are increasing exponentially,” adding that more recently, audits have branched out “in both scope and strategy,” targeting company headquarters, including in the retail, finance, real estate and tech industries.

Lurie commented in Bloomberg about the Supreme Court and the Department of Homeland Security limiting Temporary Protected Status: “For employers, it does give clarification.”
