About the Program

In the rapidly expanding global marketplace, marked by a global pandemic and driven by employees with widely differing political and social views, leaders must possess cultural competency or the ability to effectively interact with and lead people of different cultures and socio-economic backgrounds. This panel will discuss best practices to develop and exercise cultural competency as a necessary skill to drive success in our ever-changing social and political climate.

Oni Holley Brown, Vice President – Deputy General Counsel/Chief Litigation Officer, Aveanna Healthcare

Oni Holley Brown joined Aveanna Healthcare’s Legal Department on April 15, 2019 in the role of Vice President – Deputy General Counsel/Chief Litigation Officer. Aveanna is a leading provider of pediatric and adult home healthcare and behavioral therapy services.

Prior to joining the Aveanna team, Oni was Assistant General Counsel for U.S. Security Associates, Inc., a private security company with over 50,000 employees nationwide that specializes in providing security services to clients in virtually every industry and in nearly every sector of the economy including public companies, private institutions and government entities. Before working at U.S. Security Associates, she spent fifteen years in private practice first at Alston & Bird LLP and later at her own boutique commercial litigation law firm.

Oni earned her J.D. from Emory University School of Law.

 Gisele Kalonzo-Douglas, General Counsel and Director of Business Affairs, Bethel Gospel Assembly, Inc.

Gisele Kalonzo-Douglas is an accomplished legal counsel and trusted advisor to senior management and boards of directors on risk mitigation, ethics and compliance, litigation, and corporate governance.

Currently, Gisele is the General Counsel and Director of Business Affairs for Bethel Gospel Assembly Inc., a religious corporation with national and international interests. In this role, Gisele is responsible for guiding the organization’s leadership in the identification and mitigation of risk, ensuring adherence with applicable laws and regulations governing tax-exempt and religious corporations and providing oversight over its growing real estate portfolio which includes four multi-million dollar assets.

Faith Knight Myers, Global Privacy Officer and Vice President, McKesson Corporation

Faith Knight Myers (JD, CIPP/US/EU & CIPM, FIP) is currently the McKesson Privacy Officer and Vice President, Global Privacy at McKesson Corporation, the oldest healthcare company in the United States and a Fortune top ten company.

Faith leads the Privacy Office at McKesson, which is responsible for overseeing enterprise privacy compliance and providing legal advice and counsel to internal clients on data privacy and related issues at the state, federal and international level. Prior to assuming these roles, she served as Chief Counsel, Regulatory Operations, for the technology division of McKesson Corporation, where she provided legal guidance and support on a variety of health care regulatory matters.

Debra Sydnor, Director of Diversity & Inclusion, Greenberg Traurig, LLP

Debra Sydnor joined Greenberg Traurig, LLP in 2019 as Director of Diversity & Inclusion. In her role, she works closely with the firm’s Chief Diversity Officer and members of a cross-functional team dedicated to implementing the firm’s robust diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies and initiatives, including client and community collaborations.

Previously, Debra practiced law for more than 18 years at Alston & Bird LLP, including as a Partner in the firm’s Litigation and Products Liability practice groups. She also served on various firmwide committees focused on hiring, mentoring, and retention of diverse attorneys and co-chaired the Atlanta office Diversity Committee.

Debra earned her J.D. from Howard University School of Law.
