DHS Suspends Re-registration Requirements Under NSEERS
Effective December 2, 2003, the Department of Homeland Security (“DHS”) has suspended the 30-day and 1-year “re-registration” requirements under the National Security Entry-Exit Registration System (“NSEERS”).
As previously reported, NSEERS established a national registry for certain foreign nationals who either were already in the United States during a certain time period (referred to as “call-in” registration) or who entered the United States in the future (referred to as “port-of-entry” registration).
