Gena Usenheimer quoted in Al Jazeera America, “After legal defeats, an uncertain future for low-wage homecare”

Gena Usenheimer was quoted in a January 16 story from Al Jazeera America on new court decisions vacating a Department of Labor (DOL) regulation which precluded third-party agencies, such as home health care agencies, from relying upon the minimum wage and overtime exemption. Usenheimer said that maintaining the regulatory status quo benefits employment agencies and even home care workers whose hours could have been cut if overtime requirements had been imposed.
