Webinar Recording: Health Care Employers -- New Federal OSHA Emergency Temporary Standard
The federal OSHA ETS is now effective for healthcare settings, and healthcare employers are scrambling to comply. Employers face new requirements for COVID protocols, and new documentation requirements for a written plan, hazard assessment, and COVID log. OSHA revised and expanded COVID-19 reporting and recording requirements, to track occupational cases regardless of work-relatedness. OSHA has also added controversial pay provisions, requiring that employers compensate employees for any medical removals or face Serious Citations. With a new National Emphasis Program and Enforcement Directive, employers can expect onerous onsite inspections.
In this webinar Seyfarth Attorneys discuss the scope and application of the ETS including:
- The requirements of a written COVID-19 Plan,
- Patient and Visitor Screening,
- Record-keeping requirements,
- PPE and Facemask mandates,
- Sanitation, Hygiene, and Ventilation,
- Employee Screening, Exposure Notification, and Training,
- Medical Removal and corresponding pay provisions, and
- The COVID-19 National Emphasis Program and Enforcement Directive.
