HR.com Publishes Daniel Small Article on the 9/11 Notice Act
HR.com published associate Daniel Small’s article, “Understanding The 9/11 Notice Act: What New York City Employers Need to Know.” The 9/11 Notice Act is intended to ensure that potentially eligible individuals—many of whom may not be aware of their rights that have existed for two decades—receive timely information about available health monitoring and compensation programs. Small, in the piece, outlines the final regulations which took effect on June 4, 2025. He details the compliance items NYC employers must adhere to with regard to employees who worked in the exposure zone by the World Trade Center site during the relevant time frame.
“As we honor the memory of those lost on 9/11, the Act offers a tangible way for the larger New York City community to support those who were on the front lines of impact and recovery. By taking proactive steps to comply with the 9/11 Notice Act, HR professionals can help ensure that eligible workers receive the resources they deserve.”
