Jason Polevoy to Speak at the ACREL 2024 Annual Meeting

Jason Polevoy, partner in Seyfarth's Real Estate department, will serve as a speaker for "Corporate Transactions for Real Estate Purchases and Sales" at the ACREL 2024 Annual Meeting on October 18 in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico. 

The transactional world for modern real estate and corporate practice overlaps in increasingly significant ways, particularly for corporate transactions that involve significant real estate assets. This session will highlight the differences in using a corporate structure versus a traditional real estate structure, including differing tax consequences (i.e., what are the business and legal considerations and tax advantages and disadvantages involved with stock, membership interest, and other non-asset transfers) and will address how the values of various assets are classified and allocated to achieve the parties' goals and mitigate challenges.
