Jon Meer Quoted in SHRM
“Video Depositions Usher in New Era of Courtroom Evidence”

Seyfarth Shaw Labor & Employment partner Jon Meer is quoted in a July 18 SHRM article discussing a recent case in which 40 video-deposition excepts were played to help Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne, represented by Jon and a team of Seyfarth attorneys, win an age-discrimination case.

Jon notes several advantages to videotaped depositions, including a better behaved opposing counsel, unchangeable witness testimonies, ability to do them “on the fly”, and displays of body language, confidence and how much time it takes for a person to answer a question.
