Kerry Friedrichs was quoted in a December 3 story from Corporate Counsel entitled “Time to Check Your Computer Coders’ Exempt Status” on how computer programmers are often exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, as well as California law. Friedrichs says that the annual compensation review also may be a good time for employers to evaluate their exempt computer employees’ work duties to ensure that they continue to meet the requirements for exempt status.
