Leo Li Profiled by Law360 as a 2025 Rising Star for Employment

Leo Li, Labor & Employment partner in Los Angeles, was honored as a 2025 Rising Star for Employment by Law360 and profiled on July 30. The acclaimed recognition highlights top attorneys under 40 whose professional achievements distinguish them in their practice areas.

In his profile, Li discussed what he described as his most significant case: defending Southern California Pizza Co. in a consolidated wage-and-hour dispute. The case spanned over a decade and involved more than 25,000 delivery drivers as potential class members who collectively handled more than 70 million deliveries.

"The company still exists, in large part because we were able to successfully defend them" and defeat class certification, Li stated.

Looking ahead, Li said he’s also keeping a close eye on the growing impact of artificial intelligence in the legal field. He described the technology as "revolutionary", noting that it is increasing efficiency and "providing access to justice for people" who may not be able to afford legal representation.

"This is great because, at the end of the day, as a defense lawyer, what we want is to make sure that employers do what's right by the employee, and without incurring all that litigation cost and attorneys' fees," Li said.
