Leon Rodriguez was quoted in "Enforcement, Audit Program to Move Ahead; Regs, Guidance to Undergo Priority-Setting," an April 1 story from the Report on Patient Privacy on how the HHS Office for Civil Rights has announced four enforcement actions against errant HIPAA covered entities that have brought in more than $12 million. Rodriguez said that the two most critical things are the number of settlements and the breadth of the basis for the enforcement action.
