Lorie Almon Speaks on AI’s Impact on Legal Economics at LexisNexis AI Symposium
Lorie Almon, chair and managing partner of Seyfarth, participated in a panel at the 2026 LexisNexis AI Symposium, “Inverting the Pyramid: Reimagining Legal Economics,” alongside industry leaders from corporate legal departments and law firms.
Almon and her fellow panelists explored how artificial intelligence is reshaping the traditional law firm model, including its impact on staffing, pricing, and talent development. Almon emphasized that while AI may reduce the need for certain junior-level tasks, firms must continue to invest in training and development to ensure future generations of lawyers build the judgment and skills required for long-term success.
“We can’t really just borrow from the future and say, ‘We don’t need junior associates anymore,’” she noted.
