Lorie Almon Speaks on Building Resilient Law Firms at the IBA's 2026 Leadership Summit
Seyfarth Chair and Managing Partner Lorie Almon joined fellow managing partners as a panelist at the International Bar Association's 2026 Leadership Summit for the session "Building Resilient Firms – Operational Priorities and People Strategies." Together, the panel explored how firms are driving internal performance and resilience amid a rapidly changing legal landscape.
A central theme of the discussion was the idea that true resilience comes from building institutions that can absorb change without sacrificing judgment, trust, or cohesion. When the core internal drivers of performance—talent, culture, operations, and technology—are grounded in purpose and move together, firms are better positioned to deliver stronger outcomes for clients.
Almon was invited to lead the panel's discussion of innovation and technology adoption, which examined the idea that a firm's ability to deliver for clients will not be defined by the breadth of its technology stack, but by how deeply and thoughtfully technology is woven into the way work gets done.
