Marc Jacobs Quoted in Inc. Magazine "Put Your Policies in Writing"

Marc Jacobs was quoted in the article, “Put Your Policies in Writing,” published in the August 2008 issue of Inc. Magazine.  The article identified several guidelines for employers to consider when it comes to their employee handbooks.  According to the article, harassment and discrimination, wage and hour issues, and safety are among the three most important categories of an employee handbook.

On the topic of safety, the article noted that companies that operate in dangerous work environments should detail a safety policy that accords with state and federal regulations.  According to Marc, here,  as in all areas of labor law, “federal law creates the floor, not the ceiling.”
