Mark Ross was quoted in the December 21, 2008 edition of the San Francisco Business Times in the article, "Unions Ready To Set Sights On Cadres Of Techies: Tech World May No Longer Be Organizing-Free Zone." The article was also posted on MSNBC.com. The article discussed the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA) and its likely effect on the Bay Area’s tech-heavy regions. According to the article, some labor lawyers and union backers speculate that should the act pass, which is a likely scenario given support by President-elect Barack Obama and many Democratic lawmakers, it could spark rounds of organizing efforts at tech companies, which typically have not seen much union activity. Mark commented, "Times are changing...We’re in a troubled economy. People may be looking for other ways of protecting themselves and insuring that they are compensated appropriately.”
