NSEERS and Call-In Special Registration Re-Registration Requirements

November 15, 2003 was the one-year anniversary of the beginning of “Call-in Special Registration” under the National Security Entry-Exit Registration System (NSEERS). Foreign nationals who were required to register under the NSEERS Special Registration program, and who remain subject to Special Registration, must re-register within 10 days of the date of their initial registration. This rule applies whether the person registered at a U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (US CIS) District Office or at a port-of-entry. For example, if a person registered on December 15, 2002, he or she must re-register between December 5, 2003 and December 25, 2003.
