Seyfarth Shaw labor and employment attorneys Richard McArdle and Nathan Kipp authored an article in the May 8 edition of the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin discussing a recent federal lawsuit alleging race discrimination and harassment against a premier Chicago nightclub. Richard and Nate assert that, "generally speaking, the hospitality industry is ripe for employment lawsuit." They note that dress codes, though not new to the hospitality industry, add another layer of litigation risks, and the attorneys offer suggestions to employers on steps they can take to minimize these risks.
