Rob Szyba Discusses Anti-Discrimination AI Regulations in California in International Employment Lawyer

International Employment Lawyer quoted Rob Szyba in its article, “California approves anti-discrimination AI regulations,” on August 11. Szyba discussed how the California Civil Rights Council’s new AI workplace rules will require employers to keep automated decision-making system data for at least four years.

“At their core, these rules extend existing anti-discrimination rules so that they explicitly apply to new technologies. In defining these technologies, these rules appear to be intentionally broad in order maximise their shelf life in the context of rapidly evolving technological developments.”
