Robert Whitman Quoted in Law360
“Even Paid Interns May Cause Wage-Hour Woes, Suit Shows”
Seyfarth Shaw Labor & Employment partner Robert Whitman is quoted in a January 31 Law360 article discussing a recent wage-and-hour class action complaint against Hamilton College by a former intern who was paid a stipend. According to Rob, “You can’t assume that because you call someone an intern, or you pay them a stipend, or they are right out of college, or they are willing to work for free or for just a modest stipend that it magically means that they are an intern and you have no wage-hour problem.”
