Sam Schwartz-Fenwick Discusses 5th Circuit Ruling in Texas on Religious Freedoms and LGBTQ+ Protections in SHRM

SHRM quoted Sam Schwartz-Fenwick in its article, “5th Circuit Finds Religious Freedoms Supersede LGBTQ+ Protections,” on June 29. Schwartz-Fenwick said that while this ruling supports the rights of religious employers not to follow Title VII as it relates to sexual orientation and gender identity, the lower courts will continue to rule differently on this issue until the Supreme Court or Congress formally addresses this issue.
