Seyfarth Adds Real Estate Dealmaker at the Intersection of Property and Entertainment

September 29, 2026 – Seyfarth Shaw LLP continues to bolster its world-class Real Estate department with the addition of highly experienced partner Jason Grinnell, whose practice sits at the intersection of real estate and the entertainment industry, in the firm’s Downtown Los Angeles office.

Grinnell brings to Seyfarth decades of sophisticated real estate experience, most recently at Glaser Weil Fink Howard Jordan & Shapiro LLP, representing institutional, corporate, private equity, and family office clients in complex real estate transactions. His broad-based practice spans acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and sophisticated finance matters, with a unique niche in  representing entertainment industry clients in studio and office headquarters leases.

Grinnell’s debt practice includes construction, permanent, and mezzanine financing, as well as loan workouts, forbearance agreements, distressed debt transactions, and renewable energy project finance. He offers proficiency in the development and financing of solar and wind energy portfolios nationally.

Grinnell earned his JD from the University of Oregon School of Law and his BA from Dartmouth College.

He has served on the Executive Committee of the California Lawyers Association's Real Property Law Section and currently serves on the Board of the Men's Guild of Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
