Seyfarth and Four Attorneys Recognized in ALM’s 2026 Southeastern Legal Awards
Seyfarth has been recognized by American Lawyer Media’s Daily Report and Law.com in the 2026 Southeastern Legal Awards through multiple firmwide and individual honors. The annual awards celebrate “the region’s most impactful lawyers, innovators, and legal teams across North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, and Tennessee.”
Christina Meddin, who co-chairs the Atlanta Labor & Employment department, has been selected as a winner in the “On the Rise in Georgia” category. Meddin's work advising employers on complex workplace matters and her dedication to giving back to the Atlanta community through her active pro bono practice helped distinguish her among this year’s honorees.
Three additional Seyfarth lawyers have been honored as finalists for individual achievement awards:
- Managing Partner of the Year – Steven Kennedy
- Most Effective Dealmaker – Justice Barber
- Most Promising Newcomer – Shannon Cherney
In addition to individual awards, Seyfarth has been named a finalist in two major firmwide categories:
- Best Legal Innovation, honoring the innovative client work led by Robert Stevens, Pamela Devata, Eric Barton, and Julie Heine.
- Litigation Department of the Year – Labor & Employment, a distinction earned through the leadership of Christina Meddin and Kevin Young, co-chairs of Atlanta's Labor & Employment group, and Frederick Smith, chair of Charlotte's Labor & Employment group.
The honorees will be recognized – and the other winners announced – at a gala on May 7 in Atlanta.
