Seyfarth Announces New Executive Committee Members

(September 29, 2020) — Seyfarth is pleased to announce today that Gerald Pauling, Katherine Perrelli, John Napoli, and Nicholas Waddles have been elected to the firm’s Executive Committee.

  • Gerald Pauling is a partner in the firm’s Labor & Employment department in Chicago. He is co-chair of Seyfarth's National Diversity and Inclusion Action Team. In his practice, Pauling represents employers in a wide variety of state and federal employment matters, including internal investigations, complex discrimination litigation and class actions, employment contracts, harassment claims, and claims brought under Title VII, the ADEA, the ADA, and various other state and federal statutes. He also consults and advises employers on diversity and inclusion matters.
  • Katherine Perrelli is co-chair of the firm’s national Trade Secrets, Computer Fraud & Non-Compete group, and the immediate past chair of the firm’s national Litigation department. Perrelli litigates complex commercial cases, and specializes in cases alleging unfair competition, trade secret misappropriation, and other intellectual property theft. She also represents clients facing wrongful termination, internal workplace misconduct, and compliance claims. Perrelli is regularly called upon to conduct high impact investigations when claimants allege misconduct by executives.
  • John Napoli is the co-managing partner of the firm’s New York office and co-chair of Seyfarth’s national Tax practice. A member of the Corporate department, Napoli practices federal, state and local tax law, and advises public and private clients on corporate mergers and acquisitions, fund formation, international transactions, restructurings, consolidations, financing, REITs and real estate investment funds, subchapter S corporations, partnerships, joint ventures, and limited liability companies.
  • Nicholas Waddles is the managing partner of the firm’s Los Angeles office and a member of Seyfarth’s Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation department. His practice focuses on advising corporate executives on all aspects of the employee benefit plans they provide their employees. He also counsels trustees and plan administrators of multiemployer pension and healthcare plans and other collectively bargained plans on issues such as compliance with ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, federal labor law, and other laws affecting multiemployer plans. He is also a member of the firm’s National Diversity & Inclusion Action Team.
