Firm Earns Six First-Tier Rankings Nationally

CHICAGO (November 1, 2012) – Seyfarth Shaw LLP announced today that it ranks in the national first-tier for six practice areas in the U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers 2013 "Best Law Firms" rankings, up from four national first-tier rankings last year.

Regionally, the firm also earned first-tier rankings in 22 practice areas located across eight major markets, including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.

The annual U.S. News/Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms” rankings are based on evaluations provided by peer attorneys and clients. Thousands of law firms were graded for the 2012-13 rankings, which also incorporate 4.3 million evaluations of nearly 69,000 individual attorneys collected by Best Lawyers. The national first-tier rankings will be featured in U.S. News & World Report’s Money issue, on newsstands November 20, 2012.

Notably, Seyfarth’s national Labor & Employment Department rose in a variety of markets, earning seven additional first-tier rankings among the Employment Law and Litigation categories in Boston, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco. The firm also earned new first-tier rankings in Real Estate Law (Chicago), Construction Law (Washington, D.C.), Land Use & Zoning (Atlanta), Commercial Litigation (Los Angeles) and Mass Tort Litigation / Class Actions - Defendants (National and San Francisco).
