NEW YORK (May 28, 2013) — Seyfarth Shaw LLP announced today the addition of three partners to the firm’s New York office across several practices. Rajiv Khanna joins the firm’s Corporate Department from K&L Gates, Edward Maluf joins the firm’s Litigation Department from Bingham McCutchen LLP and Philip Smith joins Seyfarth’s Litigation Department from Patton Boggs LLP.
Co-managing partner of Seyfarth’s New York office and member of the firm’s Corporate Department John Napoli said, “We are happy to welcome this diverse group of partners to the New York office, and we know they will fit nicely within our collaborative culture. Rajiv’s addition supports the firm’s goal of expanding our mergers and acquisitions and cross-border practice, while diversifying and strengthening our Corporate capabilities both in New York and generally. His outbound and inbound work bolsters the firm’s global reach unique to India’s fast-growing legal market.”
“In New York, a jurisdiction where so many copyright, trademark and misappropriation suits are filed, Ed brings added strength regionally to our national group of highly skilled IP litigators, and Phil is a seasoned trial lawyer with extensive experience in securities and financial litigation, as well as other complex commercial litigation. As part of the team, he enhances our presence in the country’s most prolific financial services market,” added Lorie Almon, co-managing partner of the firm’s New York office.
Home to approximately 125 attorneys, the addition of Khanna, Maluf and Smith continues the steady growth of Seyfarth’s New York office, which welcomed several key hires in the Real Estate Department earlier this year.
