Seyfarth Shaw Highlighted in ABA Journal
“Pro Bono Help Goes Corporate: In-House, Outside Firms Link for Pro Bono Work”
An ABA Journal article October 10 focused on how firms see pro bono work as an opportunity for client development. According to the article, Seyfarth’s client, Caterpillar, proposed creating a joint pro bono opportunity. The result is a clinic organized by the Chicago-based Center for Disability and Elder Law to assist with end-of-life documents. Kathleen Horchler, corporate counsel for Caterpillar noted, “You often work with people by phone or e-mail. It’s nice to have the opportunity to meet with them in person and get to know them better in an atmosphere where neither of you are the client.”
