Seyfarth Shaw Partner Gerald L. Pauling II Named to Law Bulletin's "40 Under Forty"

Chicago  (August 10, 2006) - -  Gerald L. Pauling, of Seyfarth Shaw LLP, one of America’s leading full service law firms, has been recognized by the Law Bulletin Publishing Company (publisher of Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and Chicago Lawyer) as one of “40 Illinois Attorneys Under Forty to Watch” for 2006.

Pauling, a partner in Seyfarth’s Chicago office, is part of the firm’s Labor & Employment practice. He has represented employers in a wide variety of state and federal court matters, including litigation of employment contract claims, harassment claims, and discrimination claims brought under Title VII, the ADEA, the ADA, and various other state and federal statutes. Pauling has extensive experience representing management in labor relations matters, including collective bargaining, labor arbitration, representation campaigns, and litigation before the National Labor Relations Board. He also provides advice, training and counseling to clients regarding employment policies and practices and diversity issues.

He is a member of the firm’s Hiring Committee, Lawyer Development Committee and steering committee for traditional labor law. Pauling’s prior legal experience included a clerkship at the City of Chicago Law Department and an externship with the Honorable Terry J. Hatter, Jr., federal judge of the United States District Court for the Central District of California in Los Angeles.
